Is the school accredited?
We are seeking accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The accrediting team will visit our school November 7-9, 2011, the final step in our accreditation process. Following this visit, the team will prayerfully recommend to the ACSI Accrediting Board the accreditation of First Baptist Junior Academy and DLC of Jacksonville.
What is the average student-to-teacher ratio?
Six weeks to twelve months - 3:1 or 4:8
Twelve to twenty-eight months - 6:1
Two Year Olds -7:1
Preschool 3 - 9:1
Pre-Kindergarten - 9:1
What are the school hours?
- Fulltime: 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Part-time and VPK: 8:30 AM - Noon
Office Hours:
Monday - Friday (except school holidays)
8:00am - 6:00pm

Are scholarships available?
JADLC participates in Florida’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program, also known as VPK. In addition, JADLC accepts vouchers from the Jacksonville Children's Commission and Episcopal Children's Services. Families of Full Time Preschool students with membership at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville will receive a $500 annual discount towards tuition.
Will FBJA offer enrichment activities?
Yes! We offer an exciting range of afternoon Enrichment opportunities including private music instruction, pottery/art, martial arts, ballet and tap, gymnastics, and fitness for preschoolers. All full time students will enjoy our daily specials which include library, special art/music, Chapel, Spanish, Share Day, cooking, gardening, technology, and missions.
Will meals be available, and, if so, what will be the cost?
Breakfast snack, lunch, and afternoon snack are included in the weekly tuition price for full time students.
Does the school require uniforms?
Pre-K students are required to wear a uniform. Please refer to the dress code.
